It's the last evening of our visit in Turkey. Sara Cakan, my cousine, and Jojo her husband invited us over for dinner. I am excited..

'Little Sara', as we referred to her to distinguish her from 'bizim Sara' has grown up, and turned into a hard working accomplished business woman. And the busy life has taken its toll on closeness. In all the times that we've been to Turkey for the past few years, I got to see her very little. Though, never told her or shown signs of it, i felt bad to have lost somewhat the connection there. So when she asked if we would join them for dinner one evening, I was ecstatic, especially when I found out that my sister and her also never had a chance to come over to each other's homes since they moved. Well Sara, you have decorated your home with taste and class -not that i expected any less- and to top it off you are one good cook. I want to say you must have taken after Tant-Suzi, but we both know Uncle Erdo would take offense to that, 'cause he 'knows' he cooks just as well as Tant-Suzi! the Kuzu Tandir (Lamb in the Oven) and Souffle au Chocolat were delicious. Thanks for having us -nothing feels better than time spent with loved ones.
